Nature, Nurture and Artistry…Dobbes Family Estate Pinot Noirs are borne of these elements. We are dedicated to crafting distinct, artisan Pinot Noirs; two thirds of our brand is committed to the varietal.

Nature. Winemaker, Joe Dobbes, has developed relationships with some of the best winegrowers in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and Rogue Valley appellations. Joe understands the important role that terroir plays in the character development of wine. He carefully selects his fruit from vineyards with differing elevations, soil types and clones to produce the most expressive Pinot Noirs.

Nurture. At harvest and crush, the fruit is fermented and barrel aged separately; essentially producing 23 single vineyard Pinot Noirs which Joe then evaluates individually. Each Pinot Noir lot is then designated for our exquisite cuvées and single vineyard offerings.

Artistry. Experience and passion come together to handcraft our superlative Pinot Noirs. Our single vineyard designate Pinot Noirs are an expression of each vineyard’s unique terroir; a sensory journey for the palate. The heart of Dobbes Family Estate is four distinct cuvées which showcase our winemaking talents while staying true to vintage and varietal character.
